Well, its my birthday, and I am not going to cry.
49 kind of feels like a holding pattern for the fabulous
age of 50, I am actually looking forward to it. I just
love when kind friends say " You don't look that old ",
or "wow, I thought you were in your 30's", I always
take it as a compliment, whether they mean it or not.
And yes I am using this photo again, because I adore
it so much. Its my daughter and I at the "Light
Installation" located on Wilshire Blvd, in front of
the L A County Museum of Art. Its just a beautiful
collection of old lampposts from the LA City area.
They light up at night and are a glowing vision !
Tonight we ate at Paul Martin's American Grill.
We have been trying to get in since it opened
in December. The times we tried it was booked
up, but that was on friday and saturday nights.
My husband called for tonight, tuesday, and it was
all good, when asked if we were celebrating anything
special ? He said "my wife's birthday", and we should
of said " We are celebrating that we finally got a
reservation ! " Anyway it was worth the wait. The
service was great, the food excellent, we all thoroughly
enjoyed our meals. I had a Marinated Skirt Steak with
grilled maple -bourban sweet potaoes and arugula. JC
had Grilled Salmon, the kids, Bistro Cheese Burgers.
We then shared a Devils Food Cake with a rich chocolate
ganache and homemade vanilla ice cream. It was
a wonderful birthday.
